Odomojo helps individuals and businesses connect vehicles and understand their driving and charging history. This notice explains how information is handled when you use Odomojo.

Who is responsible

We are responsible for account, authentication, support and service-security processing. A business that decides why and how to track its fleet is responsible for informing its drivers and establishing a lawful basis for that monitoring. Where we handle fleet information on a business’s instructions, the applicable data-processing agreement sets out those responsibilities. A vehicle connection or a driver’s access to the Tesla app does not by itself establish permission to monitor every person using a vehicle.

Information we use

Account and security: your name, email address, password hash if you set a password, account verification, two-step sign-in information, memberships, sessions and security records.
Google sign-in, if you choose it: Google’s account identifier, name, email address and email-verification information. We request only basic profile and email access. Google tokens are used temporarily to verify identity and are not retained. We do not request Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar access.
Connected vehicles: manufacturer account authorisation, vehicle identifiers including VIN, model and display information, collection settings and connection status. Manufacturer access credentials are stored on the server and are not exposed in the browser.
Vehicle observations, where available: location, speed, odometer, battery level and capacity information, charging state and energy readings, each with observation times. We derive trip and charging summaries from these readings. Availability depends on the vehicle, manufacturer and your tracking settings.
Website operation and support: IP addresses and request/security logs, information you include in support correspondence, and essential browser storage used to keep you signed in and protect requests.

Why we use it

We use information to create and protect accounts, connect authorised vehicles, apply tracking controls, present vehicle history, answer support requests and operate the service. Account and requested service processing is necessary to provide our contract with you. Security and abuse prevention support our legitimate interests in protecting the service and its users; you may object to processing based on those interests. Where processing requires consent, including consent required for access to connected-vehicle information, it must be obtained before collection and can be withdrawn. We may also process information when necessary to meet a legal obligation.

We do not sell personal information or use Google identity data for advertising. Odomojo does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about drivers. Trip and consumption estimates describe available observations and should not be treated as a complete record of a person’s activity.

Your collection controls

You choose vehicles and tracking hours and can pause tracking. Odomojo checks collection policy before storing observations and when processing delayed data. Pausing does not erase previously retained history. You can revoke manufacturer access through the manufacturer’s account controls. Removing access may stop new collection; contact us if you also want retained data or your account deleted.

Who receives information

Members authorised to access your Odomojo space can see its vehicle information according to their role. Restrict membership to people who should have that access.

We use hosting and email providers to run Odomojo and send account messages. The current service uses a Hetzner-hosted server and AlphaHost email delivery. Cloudflare provides domain-name resolution. Google handles Google sign-in when selected, and Tesla handles manufacturer authorisation and vehicle communication. Each receives the information needed for that interaction and also operates under its own privacy terms.

When you open a map, your browser requests map resources from OpenFreeMap. This reveals your IP address and the map area you view to that provider. See OpenFreeMap’s privacy notice. It does not receive your Odomojo password or manufacturer credentials from us.

Authorised operators may access information when needed for support, maintenance or security. We may disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. If a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, the relevant transfer must have an applicable legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

Vehicle observations currently have a 30-day retention period in Odomojo spaces. Expired readings are excluded from reports; physical deletion happens through scheduled cleanup. Current vehicle snapshots follow the same observation-time limits.

Account, membership and connection information is kept while needed to operate your account and connected service. Security and policy records are retained while needed to investigate incidents, resolve disputes and demonstrate how collection settings were applied. Contact us to request deletion or details about a particular record. We retain information required for a legal obligation or an ongoing claim only for that purpose and the necessary period.

Web and application logs normally rotate over 14 days. Restricted recovery backups are held locally on the production server for 14 days. Earlier data can remain in those backups until they expire; deleting live data does not immediately rewrite existing backups. Recovery procedures must reapply current access, deletion and retention requirements before restored data is made available.

Cookies and browser storage

Odomojo uses essential session and request-security cookies, plus browser session storage for onboarding progress. The current website does not include advertising or audience-analytics trackers. Google and manufacturer sign-in pages use their own cookies when you visit them. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in and account actions.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you can ask to access or correct information, receive a portable copy, delete information, restrict processing or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Send requests to support@odomojo.com; we may need proportionate verification of your identity. If a business controls your fleet data, we may direct or assist your request through that business.

You can complain to a supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work. In Latvia, this is the Data State Inspectorate. Contacting us first is optional.
